Bright Pearls was created when Janet Goldberg, the inventor, was told by her dentist that she had the option to remove all her teeth and replace them with dentures, but offered no real solution. Since she is an expert on aromatherapy, she decided to take matters into her own hands, and came up with a remedy based on essential oils - what we call Bright Pearls.

She was amazed that it relieved her tooth pain, and she stopped losing teeth. The dozen friends she shared it with had similar experiences.

Richard Walbaum, the site designer, found through research that tooth decay was caused by diet, not by bad brushing, and recommendations for diet are included in this site inspired by the principles of Weston Price; see the Learn section.
